Alieda Moore

Deputy Agent - Bank of England

Alieda is currently Deputy Agent for Greater London at the Bank of England, acting as the Bank’s ‘eyes’ and ‘ears’ to connect policymakers with London businesses and communities. Through one-to-one confidential meetings with businesses across all sectors in London, Alieda gathers business intelligence to inform monetary and financial stability decisions, such as the setting of UK interest rates. She also acts as a public speaker explaining the Bank’s policies to local businesses, community organisations and schools.

Alieda previously worked in the Bank’s Resolution Directorate, advancing the Bank’s work on making sure the financial system is stable by ensuring UK banks can be placed in resolution if they fail. As a Senior Analyst in the execution team, she led on live contingency planning for a potential mid-sized bank failure and, most recently, was Private Secretary (Chief of Staff) to the Executive Director for Resolution.

Prior to joining the Bank of England in 2015, Alieda worked at Deloitte as a Strategy and Operations Consultant, and interned at Goldman Sachs in the Foreign Exchange Middle Office.
