Peter spent 14 years in the army and served with 2 PARA in Berlin, Northern Ireland and Belize. In 1982, he also fought at the battles of Goose Green and Wireless Ridge during the Falklands War.
Peter later spent two years in North Carolina as the Exchange Officer with the US 82nd Airborne Division and finally in a staff job in London before leaving the army in 1989.
Peter went on to develop a successful career in the textile industry and has travelled all over the world as an International Sales Director.
He has stayed active throughout his life, running the London Marathon in under 4 hours for his 50th birthday and completing the 100-mile Ride London & Surrey Hills cycle event in 2016. Both challenges raised significant amounts for charity.
Peter is married to Sally. He has a son and daughter, a three-year-old grandson and a new-born granddaughter.
