I'm an incredibly passionate advocate of changing the perception of, and raising the profile of, British Manufacturing, especially for the next generation - who are the future of manufacturing here in the UK. It's an incredibly exciting time for British Manufacturing, a time of change, evolution and rejuvenation of the sector.
I was appointed Managing Director in August 2016 (after the sudden death of my husband who had been the Managing Director since 1992).
In July 2017 I graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10KSBUK programme which has been pivotal in helping us on our growth trajectory.
Being the Managing Director of Daletech Electronics, one of the most renowned niche manufacturing companies in Leeds, and with 30 years' experience working in the electronics manufacturing industry, it is my duty and honour to back calls for more to be done to encourage young people to get into the region’s sector.
To contribute to this incredible development for the sector, I've been getting more involved in lots of exciting initiatives across the region.
I am Chair of the Leeds Manufacturing Alliance, and have been involved in the organisation of the Leeds Manufacturing Festival - an incredibly dynamic and successful event that brought Manufacturing front and centre for both students and corporates in Yorkshire.
I also work as an Enterprise Advisor for the LEP, have been supporting the #futuregoals campaign. I am a member of the Regional Advisory Board for Make UK.
At Daletech I strive to make sure our customers profit from our expertise and engagement with the sector as a whole, and strive to build long term mutually beneficial working partnerships.
