The retail industry is undergoing significant disruption, which a large number of companies were unable to widthstand. As a result, we oversaw many attempts at saving insolvent retailers. Was it unfounded optimism? A lack of reality among investors and directors? Were the CVAs just a step towards inevitable failure of retailers, given how many of them were unsuccessful? What is the future of traditional retailers given the disrupting wave of e-commerce?
In this discussion we will go through the recent failures in retail and try to draw conclusions on the questions above. We will be joined by a fantastic panel of speakers, each of whom has more than 20 years of experience in turning around and restructuring such companies, and who will share expert opinions from legal, financial and CRO points of view on these subjects. Depending on how the discussion progresses, the panel may also cover cases from other industries.
The panel discussion will be followed by a networking session with food and drinks, where you will be able to talk to more than 80 professionals, as well as to LBS students, passionate about restructuring and turnaround.
