Join TMA UK NextGen for the fourth event in their Fireside Chat series.
Join us for a fireside chat with Ken Baird, Catherine Balmond and Richard Tett of Freshfields on Wednesday 25 January 2023 from 6pm to 9pm to hear about their experiences of how the industry has evolved since the 2008 global financial crisis, and how they see it developing in the future.
Adam Coleman and Emma Gateaud on behalf of TMA NextGen are excited to host Ken, Catherine and Richard and hear about their experiences.
The Freshfields team has a wealth of experience acting for stakeholders involved in corporate restructurings or experiencing financial stress. They help boards of directors to steer corporates through troubled waters, and advise global investment funds, asset managers, banks, bondholders and other lenders on debt and corporate restructurings. The team works closely with sector specialists to build a deep understanding of each business and its financial pressure points, and focuses on implementing sustainable solutions and managing the diversity of stakeholder expectations from start to finish They have worked on some of the most high profile restructurings and insolvencies at the time of the 2008 global financial crisis and more recently. During the financial crisis, as well as advising on significant corporate restructurings, they also advised the Bank of England, Northern Rock, the administrators of Heritable Bank and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Limited and various creditors of Lehman Brothers. More recently they have had key roles on Debenhams, Arcadia, Virgin Atlantic, AccorInvest, Malaysia Airlines, ED&F Man and Amigo Loans.
Given that this is our first event of 2023, we expect that it will be very well attended, so please register early as places are limited.
We hope to see you there together with your colleagues, friends and business contacts.
