About the speaker/s
Clare guides and advises stakeholders of financially distressed companies. With nearly 20 years of experience in the restructuring market, Clare acts for both secured lenders and other stakeholders across a number of sectors, with a particular focus on retail and leisure businesses. As a licensed insolvency practitioner, Clare has led the Prezzo and Casual Dining Group CVAs as well as advised certain Toys R Us landlords. She has also overseen the restructuring and store rationalisation of numerous retailers including Ben Sherman, Austin Reed, Agent Provocateur, Jane Norman, Nicole Farhi and LK Bennett.
Elaine is a restructuring partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Elaine has built the market-leading UK retail restructuring practice, exemplified by her work leading the company voluntary arrangements for Toys“R”Us, Prezzo, Homebase, Paperchase, A.S.Adventure, Tragus and Fitness First, as well as advising bondholders on House of Fraser and bondholders/now owners of Debenhams on its CVA and pre-pack.
