TMA UK is delighted to announce that Alieda Moore, Manager and recent Deputy Agent for Greater London at the Bank of England, has agreed to present us with an economic update. Alieda had originally agreed to speak at our 2019 conference but was unable to do so because of the election being announced shortly before. How times have changed in the last 12 months!
We look forward to hearing Alieda’s views on this and the Bank of England’s most recent economic forecast for the country
About the speaker/s
Alieda currently manages aspects of the transition from LIBOR to sterling risk-free-rates at the Bank of England. She recently held the role of the Bank’s Deputy Agent for Greater London, acting as the Bank’s ‘eyes’ and ‘ears’ to connect policymakers with London businesses and communities. Via meetings with senior executives across the UK, BoE Agents gather business intelligence to inform monetary and financial stability decisions, such as the setting of UK interest rates.
Alieda is a public speaker for BoE, explaining its policies to a wide range of stakeholders. She has held a number of roles at BoE, including Private Secretary (Chief of Staff) to the Executive Director for Resolution and lead on numerous workstreams in preparation for a UK mid-tier bank failure. Prior to joining the Bank, Alieda worked at Deloitte and Goldman Sachs.
