About the speaker/s

Steven Jansch - Partner, Head of Insolvency, Gilson Gray LLP

Steven is chairman of the TMA in Scotland and Head of Insolvency at Gilson Gray.  

He is an award winning civil Solicitor Advocate, accredited by the WS in Commercial Litigation, and accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Insolvency Law. 

As a Scottish insolvency lawyer, Liquidations, Administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements, and Bankruptcy are all part of Steven's day to day work, often trying avoid a formal appointment being necessary!

Jamie Lindsay - Director, Breadalbane Finance

Jamie has developed an extensive knowledge of the UK Commercial Finance sector having held senior positions in Sales, Credit, Risk, and Operations within high street Banks and Independent finance companies. 

For the last 8 years Jamie has headed up Breadalbane Finance, a commercial finance brokerage based in Edinburgh with a focus sourcing funding for SMEs.

Emily Muir - Corporate Recovery Manager, Metis Partners

Emily is responsible for managing  Metis Partners’ Corporate Recovery and Restructuring services. She joins Metis with experience from the Insolvency sector having previously held positions at some of Scotland’s largest accountancy firms and brings an understanding of insolvency processes to the team

Andrew Inglis - Senior Business Manager, Core-Asset Consulting

Andrew is a Senior Business Manager, focusing on Legal recruitment. With over 20 years' experience of the Scottish recruitment market, he has worked with a range of leading private practice, public practice accounting firms, financial institutions and a wide range in-house organisations across Scotland.

Andrew always takes the time to understand his clients and candidates and makes the effort to provide clear, honest and straightforward practical advice.

Peter Stevens - TMA UK President, SME Capital

In a career stretching back more than 40 years Peter first became involved in Turnarounds and workouts in the early 1990’s where he worked on several high-profile rescue financings working for Barclays. Subsequently he worked for Credit Agricole Indosuez and Credit Suisse where he was Head of Credit for the EMEA region. He originally joined CS in 2001 to head up their workout function which saw him oversee both small bilateral rescue financings and playing a leading role in several high-profile rescues including Corus and Heath Lambert Group – the first company to go through the pension protection scheme.

Since leaving CS in 2013 he has held a number of Non-Executive and consultancy roles. He is currently Chair of Cirdan Capital Management Limited and the Supervisory Council of Revolut UAB, the Lithuanian subsidiary of the fast growing finetch business.  He also chairs the credit committees for SME Capital in the UK and sits on the investment committee of a UAE based fund. He is Treasurer of the Marie Collins foundation.

His extensive experience and network has been put to good use in his two years as President of TMA and in the previous two years when he chaired the Conference committee.
