Turnaround Management and Restructuring Club at LBS Visits London's Company Winding Up Court
Last Wednesday, April 10th, London Business School’s Turnaround Management and Restructuring Club partnered with turnaround expert Tony Groom to organize a trek to London’s Company Winding Up Court. Students from different graduate programs at London Business School, including MBA, EMBA, MIF, SLOAN, signed up to participate it the club’s first ever trek to the City of London. Tony Groom led the group of students into a court hearing, where they could get a firsthand experience of court decisions, outcome of previous negotiations, and the importance of following on winding up petitions. After the court session, the group convened next door at Weil, Gotshal & Manges where they debriefed the court hearing experience and received further guidance on turnaround management, insolvency, and restructuring from senior insolvency partner Adam Plainer and Tony Groom.
