I have 25 years financial services experience, I hold a BA in Business, and I am a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA). Specialism include distressed regulated lenders, distressed debt (SME and real estate), as well as interim management.I spent the early part of my career in banking, predominantly with RBS. From January 2009 to September 2012, I was part of the "bad bank" team working on restructuring of problem loans as well as recoveries. In 2012, I co-founded a peer-to-peer lender in the UK focusing on business and property lending. In five years, as the Managing Director, I grew that business from the bare bones of a plan to achieve just under £1bn of lending, more than 75 staff, and one of the very few fintech companies to achieve multimillion-pound profitability.I exited the company in 2018 and have since worked as an interim director, consultant, and NED in the financial services industry, specialising in alternative finance, fintechs, and regulated lenders. This has included two distressed lenders entering administration and more recently the solvent wind down of an FCA regulated consumer credit broker.
