David is a co-founder of BM&T with extensive experience working with international and UK companies in restructuring and improvement. He has operated at CFO level in large and SME companies in the UK, USA and Europe and has many years experience with Public, Private Equity owned and SME businesses. His industry experience includes automotive supply and commercial vehicle manufacture, industrial systems and a variety of service industries.

He spent several years in United Technologies Corporation before joining the Mayflower Corporation where he was heavily involved in all M&A work including post-acquisition integration. He was CFO of the US division for three years, living in Detroit and Charlotte, NC. In recent years David has worked on restructuring assignments including La Seda de Barcelona, Collins & Aikman Europe, Dura Automotive and Metal Castings Ltd. He has also advised Private Equity companies in assessment studies, cash flow and treasury management, business planning and the restructuring and refinancing of businesses in transition.

David is a Certified Turnaround Professional, a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management. He was on the board of the Turnaround Management Association in the UK for approx 10 years and is currently President of TMA Europe. He has spoken at many conferences and seminars and co-authored the Institute of Chartered Accountants Best Practice Guideline on Turnarounds. He was the 2018 recipient of the TMA International Chairman’s awards for outstanding service to the international turnaround and restructuring profession.
