Historically Lee was a Big 4 Partner, specialising in Restructuring & Insolvency. He is a chartered accountant, licensed insolvency practitioner and expert in advising stakeholders of distressed businesses on operational strategies to successfully combat solvency challenges. In 2018 he joined ReSolve where he continues to advise companies in financial difficulty and take on formal insolvency appointments and expert witness assignments. He is also a trustee board member of two registered charities.

Expert witness report to assess solvency of a company in respect of application for security of costs by a large construction company.
Expert witness report for retrospective view on solvency of a shipping company and trading in shipping futures.
Expert witness report in relation to sale of a business by administrators of specialist hi-fi retailer.
Expert’s report and testimony under cross examination in the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2020, into the collapse of a large Asian based shipping group using incomplete records which addressed alternative restructuring strategies that could have been adopted and also retrospectively assessing funding needs of the Group from incomplete records.
Expert witness testimony in 2022 in a trial relating to the claims brought against a Gibraltar based liquidator of a collapsed motor and ATE insurance company.
