An independent adviser specialising in oversight, corporate finance, restructuring and options reviews for clients in and around the public sector. I use my banking, advisory and government leadership experience to help my clients with the challenges and opportunities they face with regard to governance, acquisition strategy, transactions, merger integration, financing and forecasting.

I am currently Interim CFO of the University of Middlesex.

Prior to becoming an independent adviser I was a partner in MH&A and I was the Director of Provider Market Oversight in the ESFA an arms length body to the Department for Education. The directorate of c. 200 people deploy expert audit, finance, counter fraud and investigation skills, underpinned by robust analysis to set frameworks for and ensure the agency’s funding is spent for the purposes intended by Parliament.

I was the restructuring lead for the Department for Education and a member of the Investment Committee.

I have spent 20 years working with distressed and stressed corporates and their stakeholders. I now aim to bring the skills I have learned to help institutions, manage their stakeholders, navigate challenging financial environments, release cash for growth, manage costs, raise finance and find efficiencies.
