Sir Simon Clarke is the Director of Onward, the centre-right thinktank. He also chairs Conservative YIMBY, the pro-housebuilding campaign group.

Simon served as MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland 2017-24. During that time he held a number of roles in Government, including in Cabinet as Chief Secretary to the Treasury and as Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Simon is keenly interested in energy policy, infrastructure, home ownership and how the UK centre-right can restore an enterprise-society.

Stephen is a partner in Taylor Wessing's Restructuring & Insolvency team. He advises lenders, corporates, boards, turnaround directors, investors, insolvency practitioners and other key stakeholders in a range of domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency circumstances. He has a mixed contentious and non-contentious practice, specialising in the technology, financial services and real estate sectors. He also serves on the board of the Turnaround Management Association (UK), for which he is a regular contributor to turnaround industry events.
