Anna Nolan is Counsel in the London office of Alston & Bird. Anna is a recognized expert in her field of restructuring, and recently received international recognition as the winner of the Individual Excellence Award presented by the Turnaround Management Association. She is a trusted advisor for clients considering innovative and complex financial restructuring transactions. With over a decade of experience, Anna assists a wide range of clients including investment funds and hedge funds with all stages of stressed and distressed, domestic and cross-border transactions. These include liability management exercises, enforcement strategies, M&A deals, refinancings, formal insolvency processes, and corporate reorganisations and restructurings from contingency planning and investment analysis stage to implementation.

Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Anna was a restructuring lawyer at two leading US law firms and was based in London. Anna frequently speaks at conferences and publishes articles on complex legal issues. Anna is a big supporter of diversity, mentors the younger generation, and supports sustainable investing.

Anna actively contributes to her restructuring industry and the global community. As a director of the Turnaround Management Association UK, Anna plays pivotal role in fostering collaboration and innovation within the sector. As co-chair of the 100 Women in Finance London Education Committee, she leads efforts to empower women and provide networking opportunities. She is also the chair of the Turnaround Management Association Europe Network of Women where she coordinates initiatives intended to help women with career progression and visibility across European chapters of TMA.
