I am a versatile London-based finance and restructuring lawyer, dual qualified in England & Wales and New York. I am a partner in the finance practice group at Fladgate LLP and a member of the firm's restructuring and insolvency team.My main areas of practice are special situations, commercial finance, asset-based lending, acquisition finance and lending in the retail sector, and I also have significant experience in M&A and project finance. I have worked on financial restructurings of well-known stressed businesses, frequently representing lenders (funds and specialist bank lenders) or other financial investors. I have represented the lenders to UK/US/European and international businesses going through change including many household names in retail, both online and bricks and mortar, technology finance, aviation services, the food and beverage sector and manufacturing.I have been a licensed insolvency practitioner in the UK since 2010 and advise on downside scenarios and directors’ duties as well as investment-grade transactions.I have deep experience in corporate governance and directors’ duties both from a legal perspective and at board level.

Alongside being a partner at Fladgate I act as a non-executive director via Quenby Consulting Ltd. I am also a Distinguished Practitioner Member of the Commercial Law Centre, University of Oxford, and guest lecturer on the law and practice of floating charges, and a Member of the Advisory Council, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, and guest lecturer on commercial credit and security. I have particular expertise in English law and New York law relating to security over both tangible and intangible personal property. Prior to joining Fladgate I was co-leader of the banking industry team of US law firm Morgan Lewis for 5 years, and before that, EMEA head of restructuring and insolvency at Reed Smith for 8 years.
