NextGen Bristol - 'New Economic Era'

TMA NextGen Bristol got their 2024 off to a great start last week with presentation on the "New Economic Era" hosted by Foot Anstey LLP and facilitated by Teneo. Kabir Seehra from Teneo gave an engaging and insightful overview of Teneo's 2024 UK Economic and Consumer Forecast, analysing trends in the UK labour market, wage growth and consumer expenditure. He then took this analysis a step further, exploring the possibility that the current period of economic uncertainty will likely signal the start of "New Economic Era" which will be defined by slower growth and greater competition for spend. Further to Kabir's presentation, the delegates were split into groups, each with a facilitator from Teneo, to discuss the economic challenges facing specific sectors. Further to this the key findings from each group were shared with all delegates. This format worked really well as it enabled delegates to apply, consider and debate the points raised Kabir's presentation and work through the potential practical implications across a variety of sectors.
