In October 2024 the Government published the Employment Rights Bill (the "ERB"), setting out their plan for the biggest shake up to UK employment law since the 1990s.
Many changes remain subject to consultation, and many are not expected to come into effect until 2026. However, the net impact will be a significant impact in employee rights and more cost for employers.
It is important that Turnaround professionals are aware of the upcoming changes as they are likely to impact many of the businesses we support. The potential impact of some of these changes at both a financial and operational level could be significant.
