Nick Hammond is Head of Advisory & Restructuring at Colliers, providing real estate restructuring, turnaround and insolvency advice to lenders, practitioners and business management teams across all UK property sectors.

He specialises in providing effective, practical solutions to complex situations – including corporate restructuring and insolvency, non-performing loans and distressed real estate. By combining valuation, asset management and disposal services with in-depth market knowledge, Nick and the team help key stakeholders to assess value, identify opportunities, mitigate risk and release capital.

Nick is a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and LPA / Fixed Charge Receiver. By working closely with the wider Colliers platform and local sector experts, he advises clients across the UK on a wide range of property sectors – including offices, industrial, retail, residential, licensed & leisure, hotels, healthcare and automotive.

Walter Boettcher is the Head of Research and Economics at Colliers, where he leads a team of researchers in identifying timely research topics and directing research and forecasting outputs. With over 25 years of experience in the UK and European property industry, Walter brings extensive expertise across a wide range of sectors and related industries.

Walter is a seasoned professional, regularly participating in industry panel discussions and serving as a media commentator, with contributions to national publications and broadcasts. Since joining Colliers in August 2007, he has focused on direct client engagement, working closely with institutions, property companies, banks, and private investors.

Over a career that spans more than 24 years, Deirdre has developed her operational expertise within the sector, working in a variety of management roles in both single and multi-unit UK hotel properties. She has experience of asset managing hotels in the UK; independent and branded, from luxury to budget, leased to franchised, for a wide range of owners including private individuals, estate owners and investment funds.

Deirdre’s operational knowledge and experience adds value to clients and their hotel investment. Working within the Hotel Asset Management team at Colliers, Deirdre understands the overall strategic objective of investors and advises clearly to maximise the return achieved.

With over 20 years’ experience in the finance sector as both a lender and advisor, Amy specialises in providing advice and execution support to enable her clients to raise finance with confidence. Amy has a client centric approach and proven track record of optimising terms whilst reducing execution risk.

Amy has a broad knowledge of debt products and capital providers, across the credit spectrum, from traditional banks and challengers to asset based lenders, bridgers and credit funds. This enables her clients to optimise their capital structure to support their strategic objectives, from acquisitions and refinances to working capital and shareholder realignments.

Her financing experience spans all core sectors including: commercial and residential real estate, construction, healthcare, hotels and leisure, logistics, manufacturing, social housing and student accommodation.

Fergus is a healthcare real estate specialist focusing on Investment & Occupational Transactions throughout the UK and is one of London’s healthcare specialists. He has significant experience in the market and alongside his transactional work, provides real estate strategy and consultancy to a number of clients that are active in the space, or looking to enter the market.

He covers both the cure and care space of healthcare, with his core area of speciality in the cure side of healthcare, focusing on private acute hospitals, diagnostics, rehabilitation facilities and medical clinics. He works predominantly with operators and investors in the UK and has experience of projects in Europe, given the speciality of the asset class.
